Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

The Indian Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating digital radiographic equipment, performing fluoroscopy and special examinations, and processing radiographic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform digital fluoroscopy, digital C-arm fluoroscopy, and digital portable x-rays in various settings, including ICU and newborn nursery.
- Operate teleradiology equipment and PACS equipment in the department.
- Receive patient requisitions, explain procedures, position patients, and make exposures as needed.
- Schedule patients for examinations and evaluate the nature of critical and emergency procedures.
- Maintain records of patients treated, examinations performed, and films taken.
- Enter examination information into the Radiology Information System.
- Public Law 97-35 requires that radiologic personnel meet credentialing standards in 42 CFR Part 75.
- Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiology is required.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service is required.
This position requires working in a fast-paced radiology department, with frequent exposure to radiation and potentially hazardous materials. On-call hours or standby duty may be required.
