Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Columbus Regional Healthcare System is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to perform laboratory tests and procedures with accuracy and precision. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory instrumentation and be able to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Procure blood and other body fluids for testing
  • Perform analytical evaluations of blood and other body fluids
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
  • Record data from quality control procedures
  • Provide patient care from neonatal to geriatric patients
Qualifications:

We require a completion of an accredited two-year associate degree program in clinical laboratory science. Alternatively, we will consider a certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology from a regionally accredited college or university and certification by ASCP or AMT. We will also consider certification eligible candidates who must become certified by passing a nationally recognized examination within one year from date of hire.

Experience:

No experience is required, but a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and instrumentation is essential.
