Audio Visual Support Specialist

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Typically possesses 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience interacting with executive-level personnel is advantageous. Must maintain composure in a high-pressure environment.
  • Manage, maintain, and enhance video conferencing systems, testing environments, and associated infrastructure.
  • Utilize the management-tracking tool ServiceNow for all incident tracking, service requests, and change management.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and network protocols is required.
  • Familiarity with video infrastructure and endpoint technologies such as Cisco CUCM, Cisco TMS, Cisco Expressways, Cisco Endpoints, Poly DMA, DMA Edge, RMX, RPRM, Workflow Server, Pexip CVI, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and Poly Endpoints, as well as Zoom video conferencing.
  • Diagnose and resolve video conferencing and event service issues, including RMA's and hardware/software challenges.
  • Process service requests within the Video and Event Services domain.
  • Experience with Zoom Meetings and Webinar, Teams Meetings and Teams Live, Cisco WebEx Meetings and Webinar, and other standard meeting platforms.
  • Coordinate, set up, and disconnect video conferences for both internal and external meetings.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure maximum uptime for video conferencing and event services.
  • Conduct equipment audits, including in executive spaces.
  • Follow established procedures and ensure compliance by the team.
  • Advanced technical expertise in setting up, installing, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment, including cameras, microphones, projectors, touchscreens, and monitors.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Will be working second shift.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with end users, the IT Video Team, executives, and IT management.
  • Understanding and troubleshooting of Crestron, Bi-Amp, Extron, and Allen and Heath 30-channel digital mixers for live sound production, Vaddio video switchers, digital camera equipment, Clear Com audio devices, multi-channel lighting boards including lighting presets, PowerPoint, VLC player, PC hardware, and various cables and audio/video peripherals from brands like Shure, Netgear, QSC, Epson, and Samsung.
  • Prepare Run of Show documents, attendance reports, IT equipment readiness checklists, and other materials for the Audio Visual production team.
  • Collaborate with operations and support teams to provide guidance and support, streamline processes, enhance efficiencies, and improve the overall user experience.
