Job Overview

Position: Automotive Lubrication Specialist

Salary: $25 - $30 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks as specified on the service order with precision and efficiency, adhering to both dealership and manufacturer standards.
  • Promote and sell lubrication services, safety inspections, and related offerings.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for regular clients, ensuring timely follow-ups through calls, mail, or personal reminders.
  • Drain and replace engine oil, ensuring proper quantities are utilized.
  • Change oil and air filters as required.
  • Assess vehicle fluid levels, replenishing or replacing as necessary.
  • Check and adjust tire pressure as needed.
  • Apply specified lubricants to moving components.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to procure necessary components.
  • Report any equipment defects or issues to the supervisor.
  • Document all services performed on the service order accurately.
  • Engage in manufacturer-sponsored training sessions as directed by the service manager.
  • Stay updated on manufacturer technical bulletins and guidelines.
  • Ensure that customer vehicles are maintained in a clean condition, promptly notifying the service advisor of any changes in the vehicle's appearance or condition.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized work area.
  • Be responsible for all dealership-owned tools and manuals, ensuring they are returned in their original condition.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and safety protocols.
  • Operate all tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Immediately report any safety concerns to management.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
