Job Title: Re-Licensing Specialist

Community Based Care of Brevard, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Re-Licensing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our foster care licensing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and thorough completion of home studies for licensed foster homes in compliance with Florida Administrative Code.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct home visits to family foster homes to assess and evaluate household members and babysitters, background screening, and quarterly abuse report histories.
  • Complete initial and re-licensing home studies, including move studies to amend a family's license due to a change in residence.
  • Provide PRIDE training to new and existing foster parents, as well as facilitate other foster parent training.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to determine capacity increase or decrease for foster families.
  • Investigate and make recommendations for resolution of all incident reports, foster care referrals, and licensing concerns related to existing foster homes.
  • Serve as a liaison between foster parents and case managers to ensure open communication and timely resolution of concerns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in foster care licensing; 4+ years preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Advanced computer and data entry skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets and data management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including ability to develop collaborative communications with children, families, and service providers.
  • Certified Child Protection Professional (CCPP) certification required.
