About the Role:

Davita, Inc. is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Labette County Medical Center. As a key member of our dialysis team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording vital signs, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Provide direct one-on-one patient care to ensure a safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment experience.
  • Build long-term relationships with patients who receive treatment on average three times a week.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest dialysis techniques and best practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
