Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Ascension Alexian Brothers Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomographic procedures to aid in the diagnosis of disease and injury.

Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomographic procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor patient activity during procedures and report any abnormalities.
  • Recommend updates or refinements to protocols as needed.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
  • One or more of the following: Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification, or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
