Job Summary

The Telehealth Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs clinical and administrative duties in a hospital setting. This role is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, tracking medical records, and assisting with procedures under the guidance of nurses or doctors via an online Telehealth platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completes clinical duties under the guidance of nurses or doctors, gathering information on patient symptoms and feelings.
  • Reviews patient symptoms and advises on next steps, including prescriptions or actionable steps to combat health issues.
  • Documents patient information related to assessments, treatments, outcomes, and screenings to maintain medical records in accordance with department and company guidelines.
  • Communicates effectively and virtually with the CMA team to deliver timely updates on patient standing or potential problems.
  • Protects patient confidentiality by ensuring that health information and records are communicated consistently with appropriate standards, laws, and company policies.
Qualifications
  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Practical Nursing
  • EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience preferred
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: Licensed Practical Nurse certification or certification as a medical assistant by one of the following: American Associate of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (RMA), National Healthcare Worker's Association (NHCWA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA)
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
