Job Title: Principal / Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Principal / Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD. As a key member of our Payload and Ground Systems Division, you will be responsible for designing and developing Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) test sets for our spacecraft programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop EGSE test sets, including panel and cable design, schematic layouts, and hardware checkout/troubleshooting.
  • Interface with subsystem test engineers, test operators, technicians, systems administrators, security team, and vendors to provide support for various test set tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of EGSE test sets with spacecraft systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5-8 years of related experience, or a master's degree in a STEM field with 3-6 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in hardware design, including panel and/or cable design, schematic layouts, and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in hardware design, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and EGSE test sets.
  • Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS clearance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware design, with a strong understanding of integrated (analog, power, digital) hardware design.
  • Proficient with lab test equipment, such as DMMs, O-Scopes, or related.
  • Proficient with electrical design tools, such as Zuken, AutoCAD, PSpice.
  • Proficient in Test Automation Software, such as LabView, TCL, MATLAB.
