Job Title: Principal/Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal/Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD. As a key member of our Payload and Ground Systems Division, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our spacecraft and ground support equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and telemetry systems.
  • Develop and implement electrical test plans and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other spacecraft and ground support equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot electrical system issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 5-10 years of experience in electrical design and development.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 3-8 years of experience in electrical design and development.
  • Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS clearance.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical design and development.
  • Proficient with integrated (analog, power, digital) hardware design.
  • Proficient with lab test equipment, such as DMMs, O-Scopes, or related.
  • Proficient with electrical design tools (e.g., Zuken, AutoCAD, PSpice).
  • Proficient with hands-on troubleshooting with electrical hardware.
  • Proficient in Test Automation Software (LabView, TCL, MATLAB).

Salary Range:

$102,400 - $153,600

Salary Range 2:

$127,000 - $190,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
