Job Description

Liberty Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene as needed.
  • Change linen on beds according to schedule and assist with vital sign recordings.
  • Support Certified Nursing Assistants with tasks as needed.
  • Turn and reposition residents according to facility policy.
  • Assist with oral hygiene, including denture care.
  • Answer call bells promptly and complete patient care records at the end of each shift.
  • Collect urine or stool specimens as directed and give enemas as needed.
  • Keep patient units and hallways clean and organized.
  • Care for and clean nursing equipment.
  • Follow restraint policy and assist with post-mortem care when necessary.
  • Ensure residents have access to fresh ice water and clean water pitchers, cups, and bedpans.
  • Assist with rehabilitation programs, such as bowel and bladder retraining, and chart progress.
  • Report to oncoming staff at the end of each shift.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a graduate of a NA1 training program and pass a state test within 4 months.
  • Must be willing to care for geriatric patients and have a genuine concern for their welfare.
  • Must be able to work well with other staff members and follow orders.
  • Must be kind and respectful to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Must be able to use equipment safely and economically.
  • Must demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Must read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies and procedures.
