The position features a minimal call rotation compared to other facilities, and we are open to flexible scheduling after a successful orientation period. Our services encompass complex orthopedics, robotics, and microvascular procedures, providing opportunities for skill enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient surgical environment, utilizing aseptic techniques for preparation and assistance during surgical procedures.
  • Perform various surgical procedures while ensuring a thorough understanding of different techniques.
  • Set up and maintain the operating room, including the movement and operation of equipment.
  • Assist as a Second Assistant when necessary and communicate any equipment or supply issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Transport patients and equipment as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used.
  • Maintain specialty carts and ensure all items are complete and in working order.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of patient care across various age groups, assessing and addressing specific needs.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment unless otherwise determined by leadership.

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.
  • No prior experience is necessary.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and surgical equipment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and certification maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing various physical tasks as required.
  • Exposure to potential hazards including mechanical, electrical, and biological risks.
