About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, anticipating their needs and providing necessary supplies.
  • Ensure the environmental disinfection, safety, and efficiency of the operating room, including setting up the room for each case and operating various types of equipment.
  • Function as a Second Assistant as necessary, providing support to the surgical team.
  • Notify appropriate staff of equipment and supply problems, and transport patients and/or equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a specialty cart or item, ensuring its completeness and availability, and perform various patient positioning and transporting duties.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • No experience required, but prior experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
