Job Summary

The Clinical Supervisor is a key leadership role at GAAMHA, responsible for providing clinical supervision to our team of mental health professionals. This position requires a strong background in substance use disorders and mental health, with a focus on delivering high-quality treatment services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver evidence-based treatments.
  • Develop and implement program curricula that align with evidence-based practices and GAAMHA's core values.
  • Ensure program services are compliant with state and federal regulations, as mandated by contracts with funders/licensors.
  • Identify training needs for clinical staff and provide guidance to ensure they are highly trained and proficient in their roles.
  • Participate in scheduled case conferences and other GAAMHA meetings as required.
  • Assist staff in developing collaborative relationships with outside provider agencies and referral sources.
  • Review clinical files on a regular basis to provide quality assurance and guidance to staff.
  • Assist staff with crisis intervention and guidance with clinically challenging situations.
  • Submit clinical information to insurance providers for pre-approval and concurrent reviews.
  • Work with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures.
Qualifications

A Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field is preferred. Valid certification or licensure in substance use disorders or mental health is strongly preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in substance use/mental health counseling and at least two years of clinical supervisory experience in a substance use treatment setting is required.

Incumbents must possess working knowledge of 12-step programs and excellent oral, written, and social skills. Cultural competence and the ability to carry out all duties in compliance with HIPAA and 42CFR Part 2 are essential.
