Primary Purpose of Position
The primary responsibilities of this role will be to operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all mechanical, I/C, and electrical high-voltage equipment to support plant operations and maximize asset value. This includes performing maintenance and repair work on plant equipment, operating and monitoring turbines, generators, pumps, and associated auxiliary equipment, and developing operating procedures to ensure consistent and safe operation.

Key Responsibilities
• Uses computerized maintenance management system to maintain and control work order system and spare parts inventory.
• Performs maintenance and repair work on plant equipment, including disassembly, part repair or replacement, and assembly.
• Operates and monitors turbines, generators, pumps, and associated auxiliary equipment.
• Trains and develops other employees in performing preventive maintenance and routine equipment service activities.
• Leads equipment or system problem identification and recommends solutions.
• Performs predictive/preventive maintenance and electrical maintenance on generators, transformers, and MOVs.
• Develops operating procedures for plant equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation.
• Performs all work during an assigned shift in a safe, continuous, and efficient manner while maintaining environmental and housekeeping standards within federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Assists in requisitioning parts and supplies.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Position Scope
The incumbent in this position must be able to communicate across all levels of the organization and have good knowledge of PLCs, Ovation, and GE Mark 6 Digital Controls Systems. The position requires a strong understanding of power plant prints and the ability to work in a power plant environment that includes climbing and walking long distances. A valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle are also required.
