We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer with expertise in Informatica, Python, and AWS Glue to enhance our data integration processes. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and requires alignment with EST hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize efficient database queries utilizing SQL variants such as MySQL, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Utilize programming languages, including JavaScript, for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Regularly maintain and back up databases to ensure data integrity.
- Implement SQL database sharding and indexing techniques to manage high traffic loads effectively.
- Design, optimize, and execute stored procedures to improve database performance.
- Leverage analytical tools to assess database performance and generate insightful reports.
- Engage in advanced ETL development activities using Informatica, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database tuning.
- Demonstrate Oracle experience from both a development and application perspective, including PL/SQL and Solaris.
- Enhance ETL processes from various data sources to an Oracle data warehouse as an Informatica PowerCenter developer.
- Conduct unit and development tests for Informatica ETL processes.
- Design, implement, test, and maintain ETL components across multiple applications.
- Provide post-production support for applications as necessary.
- Conduct data analysis to assist in defining and designing new projects and troubleshooting existing issues.
- Collaborate independently or within a team to deliver successful data warehouse ETL projects.
- Adhere to established standards and best practices while contributing to process improvements.
- Manage a high-volume, multi-terabyte data warehouse application that operates 24/7.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in software development, computer science, business intelligence, information technology, data management, or a related field.
- Advanced understanding of database procedures and Microsoft SQL Server concepts.
- Proficiency in one or more SQL variants, including MySQL, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with ETL Informatica processes.
- Familiarity with Unix scripting.
- Ability to create efficient database queries, including complex joins and cross-referencing across multiple tables.
- Knowledge of standard database management tools.
- Experience with Python programming.
- Familiarity with AWS Glue for data integration.
