CAMBA EYD Programs provide after-school and summer camp activities for nearly 2,400 children in elementary and middle schools throughout New York City. Our programs are available during the academic year, summer, and most school holidays, offering a variety of engaging activities, including environmental conservation, arts, violence and drug prevention, and music therapy, in collaboration with public and private partners.

Position: Activity Specialist

Reports to: Assistant Site Director

Location: Brooklyn

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement engaging lesson plans and activities in areas such as dance, vocal performance, creative movement, yoga, sports, visual arts, and other physical or artistic disciplines.
  • Provide both group and individual support to at-risk children and youth during non-academic activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with youth.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in a relevant specialization.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to secure and maintain the following:
    • Doctor's note confirming good health.
    • Proof of negative TB test results.
    • State Central Registry (SCR) clearance.
    • Department of Health fingerprint clearance (DOH).
    • Department of Education fingerprint clearance (DOE).

Compensation: $51.25 per hour
Status: Part-time
