Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Allied Surgery Center. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures, preparing patients for radiologic examinations, and maintaining equipment and quarters.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods. A current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist is also required. Additionally, proficiency in email systems, Microsoft Office, and WebMD/Intergy systems is necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures for the treatment of patients of all age groups.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations by explaining the procedure, removing articles such as jewelry, and positioning them appropriately.
  • Maintain equipment and quarters, including radiation protection devices and simple records.
  • Monitor patients during the procedure and ensure their safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods.
  • Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • Proficiency in email systems, Microsoft Office, and WebMD/Intergy systems.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. The ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask while maintaining attention to detail is essential. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.
