As a pivotal member of our engineering team, you will spearhead the development of compelling engineering proposals in collaboration with our skilled technical personnel. Your role will encompass the creation of detailed project plans while upholding the highest standards of quality and innovation. You will be responsible for managing timelines and budgets, nurturing client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities, merging leadership, strategic thinking, and technical acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will oversee projects within the Nuclear Services sector, focusing on excellence and precision.
- Direct efforts alongside technical teams to produce detailed and competitive engineering proposals.
- Formulate comprehensive Nuclear Services Project Work Plans, Risk Management Plans, Communication Plans, and Work Breakdown Structures.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external work standards, manage schedules, supervise subcontractor personnel, and effectively communicate organizational goals.
- Oversee the development and execution of project schedules, including reporting and recovery strategies.
- Manage a matrixed team of technical staff to guarantee that client deliverables align with quality standards and timelines.
- Utilize advanced scheduling tools, including earned value management, to monitor project progress.
- Develop and maintain detailed internal and federal reporting requirements.
- Monitor project financials and provide regular updates to management regarding financial health and overall project performance.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
- Negotiate project scope with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction.
- Support marketing initiatives by identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the power generation or nuclear sectors, either as an Engineer or Project Manager.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or PMP Certification coupled with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in cost estimation and proposal development.
- Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently, focusing on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Knowledgeable in earned value management and progress reporting methodologies.
- Experienced in drafting and reviewing contract and non-disclosure agreements.
- Familiar with budget and accounting processes.
- Strong skills in coordination and team building.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation abilities.
- Effective communicator with a proven ability to collaborate across various disciplines and teams.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time, with travel duration varying based on project needs.
Compensation:
The salary range for this full-time position is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from USD $120,000 to $172,000 annually.
