About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Diablo Canyon in San Luis Obispo County, CA. As a key member of our West Coast Nuclear Service Group, you will play a critical role in coordinating with diverse disciplines, reviewing designs, and managing projects with autonomy.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors.
  • Prepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates to ensure accurate budgeting and scheduling.
  • Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with designated work assignments with minimal guidance and technical oversight.
  • Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and evaluate technical bids and select equipment.
  • Devise new approaches to technical problems and implement innovative solutions.
  • Travel and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-up activities.
  • Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Electrical Engineering design.
  • Experience supporting modifications of Nuclear Power Plants preferred.
  • Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of electrical calculations is desired.
  • Makes recommendations based on knowledge and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
