Job Summary

EngageMED, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check patients in and out, ensuring accurate and efficient registration processes.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage patient schedules, including scheduling follow-up appointments and diagnostic testing.
  • Perform routine tests, such as EKGs, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Document patient information, test results, and examination findings in the medical record.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure effective patient care delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Escalate non-routine issues and concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • 1 year Medical Assistant experience required.
