Position Overview:

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will act as the technical authority in the design, planning, and execution of projects related to critical IT applications and server systems.

This role also entails delivering high-level support and oversight for essential applications and servers, including backups, Azure AD/O365, identity management, virtualization frameworks, and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Architect Server Infrastructure:
    Investigate available technologies, assess server capacity and availability needs, review software requirements, and propose integration strategies with other systems.
  • Active Directory/Azure AD Expertise:
    Manage and support Windows Server in a virtual setting and possess foundational knowledge of Office 365 for user account management.
  • Azure Deployment and Support Services:
    Deliver IAAS or PAAS solutions, manage Azure role-based access, and oversee networking including WAN connectivity and App Gateways.
  • Server/Data Backup and Disaster Recovery:
    Administer server and data backup processes.
  • IT/Software Program Experience:
    Engage with complex systems including Network Switches, Routers, LANs, and VMware.
  • Implement New Applications:
    Install server hardware and software, establish clustering and failover, and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues:
    Address operating system and application software challenges for critical services.
  • Upgrades and Monitoring:
    Conduct upgrades to server hardware and software, and monitor IT systems for performance and operational issues.
  • Collaboration and Technical Leadership:
    Work collaboratively with IT personnel and serve as a technical lead in assessing new technologies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:

Handle IT Help Desk inquiries, utilize enterprise monitoring solutions, identify and resolve hardware and software issues, and maintain documentation for incident resolution.
