Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at ProMedica Health System. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiation oncology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver prescribed radiation therapy to patients, ensuring accurate and safe treatment.
  • Position patients correctly and answer questions to alleviate anxiety and concerns.
  • Collaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, nursing staff, and physicians to ensure seamless treatment planning and execution.
  • Maintain established department policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and contribute to team function and decision-making.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent experience.
  • Michigan Radiologic License required.
  • ARRT and CPR certification.
  • 1+ year of experience as a working Radiation Therapist.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy.
  • Knowledge of Varian equipment/software and EPIC.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, frequent lifting/pushing/pulling of patients, and prolonged standing/walking. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including a mask, non-sterile gloves, eye protection, and a lab coat.
