About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at National Oilwell Varco. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our facility's machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of staff, including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and goal setting.
  • Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
  • Confer with personnel to coordinate work activities, resolve employee grievances, or identify resource needs.
  • Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Manage budget and expenditures, coordinating purchasing and documentation and monitoring departmental expenditures.
  • Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
  • Compile operational or personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results.
  • Review, evaluate, accept, and coordinate completion of work bid from contractors.
  • Meet with vendors or suppliers to discuss products used in repair work.
  • Oversee emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Determine, monitor, and measure department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors.
  • Oversee mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Design equipment configurations to meet personnel needs.
  • Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements.
  • Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
  • Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery.
  • Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • 5+ years of knowledge of standard safety and manufacturing processes preferred.
  • 5+ years of practical and demonstrable experience with management and maintenance.
