Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with manufacturing sites to create, refine, and execute equipment stewardship strategies that maximize asset value, ensure safe operations, and control ownership costs.
- Drive measurable improvements in unit performance in alignment with financial objectives, focusing on aspects such as raw material and energy usage, reliability, capacity, maintainability, and quality.
- Provide technical support and expertise on fixed equipment throughout all project phases, from initial engineering to maintenance.
- Implement leading reliability principles and technologies to close performance gaps and enhance manufacturing processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying key projects that will positively impact business outcomes.
Essential Duties:
- Lead the establishment of reliability engineering best practices and set performance expectations for equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Utilize industry-standard reliability tools to optimize costs and enhance asset effectiveness.
- Develop and execute a multi-year reliability improvement strategy, monitoring progress along the way.
- Conduct root cause failure analyses on equipment issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Work closely with manufacturing and planning teams to identify and address reliability improvement opportunities.
- Provide engineering support for capital projects, ensuring adherence to plant standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in the reliability field within the chemicals, petrochemical, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven track record in leading fixed equipment programs and familiarity with industry standards and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
Skills Required:
- In-depth knowledge of fixed equipment design, application, and maintenance.
- Experience with predictive technologies and the ability to interpret engineering documents.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software.
