Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor/Chief Inspector to join our team at Channel Personnel Services. This key role is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the engineering practices and reliability programs in the areas of fixed equipment, inspection, and mechanical integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a plant-wide fixed equipment inspection program that meets industry standards, regulations, and RAGAGEP requirements.
  • Lead the development of a department budget, scoping routine and turnaround work, and provide oversight of training and certification of inspection personnel.
  • Supervise all phases of the inspection staff, including Ascend Area inspectors and directs on-site contractor for NDE and run and maintain services.
  • Provide input and oversight to the Fitness for Service program to determine the remaining life and need for repair, replace or re-inspection of fixed equipment.
  • Review and analyze equipment design, operating, and condition data to prioritize inspection plans.
  • Support capital project inspection needs and maintain and report on department Key Performance Indicators and Corporate Metrics.
  • Develop and revise inspection procedures to keep up with industry advancements and new code requirements.
  • Provide technical support in regards to quality assurance, quality control of equipment fabrication, alteration, and repair.
  • Actively support turnarounds and outages with expected work commitment.
  • Participate in process safety activities and review MOC initiatives as required.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical integrity, inspection, and reliability programs, with experience in developing and implementing fixed equipment inspection programs. A bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant certifications are required.

Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
