Job Summary

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team in a correctional facility setting. As a Physical Therapist, you will administer physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
  • Work under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, Correctional Facility (CF).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to determine the need for physical therapy services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced correctional facility environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

Travel is required.

Special Requirements

  • The position requires a California Physical Therapist License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.
