Job Summary:The Cardio Invasive Specialist will be responsible for preparing patients for catheterization procedures, positioning them properly on examination tables, and assisting physicians in determining the presence of blockages in the vessels that pump directly into and out of the heart. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:- Assist physicians in catheterization procedures, including preparing patients, positioning them on examination tables, and administering anesthetics as needed.
- Monitor patient heart rates and record information during procedures.
- Operate testing equipment, including angioplasty machines and electrophysiology testing devices.
- Work collaboratively with the cardiovascular team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
- Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Radiography Technologist (RT) certification.
- Minimum of one to two years of clinical experience in Invasive Cardiology.
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
- ACLS certification required.
