This role involves the efficient loading and unloading of delivery vehicles within the warehouse environment, ensuring meticulous attention to detail when receiving shipments. Additionally, the position may require the movement and dispatch of products in accordance with specified instructions. Proficiency in basic computer operations is necessary, and familiarity with web-based inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is highly valued. Candidates with forklift certification are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to established procedures to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Utilize appropriate equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) for loading and unloading transport vehicles.
- Package and unpack merchandise as needed.
- Conduct product counts and weight measurements using basic math skills.
- Transport materials within the warehouse by following best practices for material handling.
- Verify product details for accuracy using Excel and Word documents.
- Meet productivity benchmarks set for the warehouse.
- Assist other departments with various tasks as required.
- Input data accurately into designated systems related to shipments and inventory management.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience:
- 6-12 months of experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to follow instructions and utilize small hand tools and office equipment.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to follow procedures to meet operational needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
- Self-disciplined and a reliable team player with a good attendance record.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices is essential.
- Commitment to maintaining 5S standards in all activities.
- Basic understanding of inventory management is preferred.
