About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our team at Dudek. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, analysis, design, and engineering support during the construction of water-related facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water-based infrastructure and treatment engineering, with a focus on storm water, potable water, recycled water, surface water, and wastewater. You will work closely with our team to deliver quality work, adhere to project budgets and schedules, and build relationships with clients.

We are looking for a creative problem-solver who is comfortable with accountability, collaboration, and flexibility. You will be responsible for researching, data collection, organization, technical analysis, preparation of results, evaluation of data, and interpretation. You will also be required to learn and utilize various computer-based tools, including AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling software such as InfoSewer/InfoWater.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare well-written and organized technical reports, including background, approach, data collection, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Develop solid understanding of project goals and objectives and use this understanding to prepare engineering improvement plans and technical specifications.
  • Contribute to and gain experience from Dudek's qualified team to deliver quality work with adherence to project budgets and schedules.
  • Build relationships with clients and engage in professional growth opportunities.

Requirements:

  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Valid driver's license and active personal automobile liability insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Technical understanding of hydraulics, including pressure flow, open channel flow, and pump curves/pump selection.
  • Experience with modeling and design software, including ArcGIS and AutoCAD.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and requires occasional project site visits. The physical demands of the job include working on a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time, and attending meetings.
