Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Civil / Water Resources Engineer to join our team in San Diego, California. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge on complex civil, stormwater, and water resources projects involving planning, design, permitting, construction, monitoring, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, regulatory permitting and compliance, and construction support of general civil and water resources infrastructure projects.
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) and water quality modeling, analysis, and calculations.
  • Preparation of technical reports and memoranda.
  • Preparation of technical specifications and contract documents for construction.
  • CAD design and drafting of design/construction documents.
  • Preparation of exhibits and figures.
  • Construction administration, support, oversight, and management.
  • Site visits/field investigations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (required).
  • Advanced degree in civil or environmental engineering (preferred).
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of related professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InRoads, Microstation, and OpenRoads.
  • Experience with modeling and design software tools such as ArcGIS, ArcMap, EPA-SWMM, FlowMaster, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, HY-8, and TR-55.
  • Experience with land development, permitting, or municipal project implementation.
  • Experience with water resources planning and design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Regular field work and overnight travel.
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.
  • Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
