As a Radiology Technologist at SSM Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of radiology principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of imaging exams, including CT scans, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Assist physicians in special and advanced procedures, and ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department.
- Completion of a Radiology certification program or registration in Radiology.
- No experience required, but a strong understanding of radiology principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Constant standing and walking, frequent use of vision and depth perception, and occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
