Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at Vitreoretinal Surgery PLLC. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical team in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with patients and demonstrate a patient-centric attitude and professionalism that instills confidence in our services.
- Gather and relay important patient data to the physician, including chief complaints, dates, and other associated factors.
- Administer dilation drops and perform necessary testing, including visual acuity, glaucoma tests, and OCTs.
- Direct and accompany patients to the appropriate room for care as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Degree or GED
- Personal motivation to provide excellent patient care
- Minimum of 2 years of previous ophthalmology experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Excellent team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
