Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the Engineering Section, ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget and timeframe.

  • Develop and implement engineering plans, specifications, and designs for various infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, street, and park improvements.
  • Coordinate with other City departments, outside agencies, and contractors to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Prepare and review complex engineering reports, plans, and specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective project delivery and resource allocation.
  • Represent the City at interagency meetings and negotiations, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Valid certificate of registration as a Professional Engineer issued by the State of California.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with 2 years of project management and supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment and travel to different sites and locations.
