Civil Engineer Specialist

Job Summary:
Cash Waggner & Associates is seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for preparing drawings with CADD, assisting in plan preparation, and focusing on land surveying and civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare drawings with CADD and assist in plan preparation.
- Focus on land surveying and civil engineering projects.
- Navigate computer file systems and understand file interrelationships.
- Customize data with individual files and identify specific information from substantial amounts of related data.
- Read and understand terminology and symbols used in survey notes, plans, shop drawings, aerial photographs, and maps.
- Transfer information in numerical, written, sketched, or electronic format from sources to final plans and maps.
- Visualize and illustrate concepts or designs in two or three dimensions.
- Identify errors, problems, or non-standard situations and suggest alternatives.
- Develop and implement custom automated drafting and design procedures.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Possess software proficiency in AutoCad, Microsoft-Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Manage office functions economically and efficiently.
- Organize work, establish priorities, and maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with staff and clients.
Education and Experience:
BS in Civil Engineering preferred but not required. Related degrees and/or experience are also acceptable.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to travel to various project sites. Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
