Job Summary:The Clinical Nurse III will provide high-quality patient care in the Vascular Surgery unit, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures as required.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a comprehensive plan of care for all patients.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel, maintaining standards of professional nursing.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques.
