Requirements
  • Commercial Fire Alarm Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial Fire Alarm systems, with a proven track record of system maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer education.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Ability to troubleshoot and repair Fire Alarm systems, including ground faults, open circuits, short circuits, and addressable and conventional systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting diagrams, blueprints, and specifications, as well as experience with electronic testing devices.
  • Background Checks: Pass background checks, including drug and background screenings, and meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Certification: NICET II, III, or IV certification, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in Fire Alarm systems.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, or Security, with a strong understanding of industry best practices and technologies.
  • Manufacturer Certifications: Fire Alarm Manufacturer certifications, demonstrating expertise in specific system technologies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as basic understanding of IT functionality.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools, lift and carry at least 50 lbs, push and pull heavier loads, climb a ladder reaching at least 12 feet, and use a man lift to perform services.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
