RWE Renewables America, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer, Project Development Specialist to lead the development of energy audits and performance contracts. This role will involve assisting assigned staff Engineers and Project Managers in developing design concepts for energy conservation measures, identifying, assessing, and structuring technical and financial solutions to meet customer objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in screening and qualifying the feasibility of energy efficiency and capital improvement opportunities, including attending customer meetings and conducting site trips to collect facility and utility data.
- Develop and run energy screening models to determine the technical and economic viability of energy efficiency and capital improvement projects.
- Direct junior staff in producing mechanical designs and drawings, providing guidance and training on mechanical system design, construction document preparation, and the use of various software programs.
- Conduct field work to document existing, as-built conditions during the development/design phase and inspect contractors' work during the construction phase.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, PE registration is preferred.
- LEED AP, CEM certifications, preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in HVAC, EMS, and/or central plant design is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in plumbing and/or fire protection system design is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with energy conservation and associated building system retrofits is preferred.
- AutoCAD and/or REVIT proficiency required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with performance contracting is preferred.
- Familiarity with LEED and green building design is preferred.
