Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Complex Aircraft Inspections and Repairs: Conduct thorough inspections and repairs of aircraft systems and structures with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate with Teams: Collaborate with Maintenance Team Leaders, Shift Technicians, and the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
- Ensure Quality Standards: Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and Store Customer Property: Properly identify and store customer property and equipment.
- Operate Ground Support Equipment: Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment.
- Coordinate Aircraft Movement: Coordinate, accomplish, and assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.
- Provide Training and Protect Customer Property: Provide training to less experienced technicians and protect customer property.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Implement Lean Initiatives: Apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility.
- Use Company-Provided Tools and Equipment: Properly use and maintain Company-provided tools and equipment.
- Comply with Safety Rules: Comply with safety rules and procedures and use protective equipment as required.
- Use Material Tracking System: Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-offs, and to charge labor to correct work orders.
- Support Aircraft Certification: In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.
Requirements:
- Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of the FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.
- Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
