Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Proprietary Trader, Natural Gas to join our team at NextEra Energy, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of the natural gas market and the ability to make informed trading decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and trade NextEra Energy's physical gas portfolio in the Permian and Southwest region.
  • Apply a high level of competency in trading strategies, pipeline rules, physical market knowledge, financial products, and regulatory policies.
  • Perform individual research, deal entry management, and monthly reconciliations.
  • Make markets for asset optimization groups responsible for hedging the company's nationwide generation portfolio.
  • Manage a profitable proprietary trading book.
  • Train less experienced traders.
Requirements
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 2+ years
