Auxiliary Programs Coordinator Job Description

The Auxiliary Programs Coordinator plays a vital role in providing exceptional experiences for students through the implementation of the Extended Day Program curriculum and daily activities. This position requires a high level of organization, creativity, and attention to detail to ensure the success of the program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities for the Extended Day Program, including planning and preparing activities for half- and full-day programs.
  • Collaborate with program personnel to brainstorm and plan activities for the next school year, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for students.
  • Manage registration forms, create lists of registered students, and reserve necessary locations on campus for programs.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records, including attendance rosters and other paperwork, to ensure program compliance and quality operations.
  • Assist with maintaining, cleaning, and straightening of the designated classroom or area before, during, and after the program.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience working with young children and coordinating summer camp or working at a summer camp is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, solid content creation, and computer skills.
  • Ability to be flexible with the day-to-day uncertainties and changing circumstances of student enrollment and schedules.
  • Able to work independently and be a contributing member of the team, with self-motivation and energy.
  • Participate in necessary professional development sessions to obtain at least 15 DSS credit hours annually.
Reporting:

The Auxiliary Programs Coordinator reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs.
