Construction Wireman

Nystrom Electric is seeking a skilled Construction Wireman to join our team. As a Construction Wireman, you will be responsible for installing, connecting, and testing electrical wiring and equipment. This includes running conduit, pulling wire, and connecting switches, outlets, and other electrical components.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential homes, commercial buildings, or industrial settings.
- Troubleshoot problems with existing electrical systems to determine appropriate solutions for repair.
- Install or repair wires and cables to provide power to buildings or machinery.
- Install wiring devices, such as light fixtures, electrical panels, thermostats, smoke detectors, intercom systems, and more.
- Repair electrical equipment, such as motors, generators, breakers, transformers, wiring, and circuit boards.
- Test electrical equipment for proper functioning after repairs are complete.
- Steel-toed work boots required.
- Long pants or jeans required. No shorts.
- Shirt with sleeves required. Nystrom shirt preferred; three will be provided.
- PPE compliance, as required.
- Regular hourly compensation.
- Overtime hourly compensation (1.5 times regular hourly rate) per hour for all time worked over eight hours per day and for any time worked on Saturdays.
- Double-time hourly compensation (2 times regular hourly rate) per hour for all time worked on Sundays.
- 1% automatic payroll deduction for Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) with a 1% employer match.
