Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Parts Counterperson to join our team at Profleet Heavy Duty Truck Parts. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the right parts for their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Assist customers in selecting the required parts, sharing cost and availability information, and informing them of companion part requirements and specials.
  • Order Coordination: Participate in the coordination of orders being pulled and filled from the warehouse to customers.
  • Inventory Management: Provide information to the Parts Manager and Buyer on out-of-stock products, locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources, and follow up on back-ordered parts.
  • Sales and Marketing: Solicit assigned accounts by phone or email, and participate in all training programs to stay current on new products and product updates.
  • Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Requirements
  • Education and/or Work Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent with basic knowledge of truck/auto components.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills, high school business math, knowledge of and ability to work on a computer, and general mechanical aptitude.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift, and carry 10 to 50 pounds.
