Job Overview

Position: Parts Counterperson

Company: FYDA FREIGHTLINER GROUP

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers, both retail and workshop, in identifying and selecting necessary parts while providing information on pricing and availability.
  • Advise customers on related part requirements and promotional offers, ensuring they are aware of the complete range of products available.
  • Coordinate the processing of orders from the warehouse to ensure timely fulfillment for customers.
  • Communicate with the Parts Manager and Buyer regarding inventory shortages, including:
    • Identifying alternative sources for out-of-stock items.
    • Following up on items that are back-ordered.
  • Engage with assigned accounts through phone or email outreach.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new products and enhancements.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a foundational understanding of truck and automotive components.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, with proficiency in English.
  • Basic business mathematics knowledge is necessary.
  • Familiarity with computer systems is required.
  • A general mechanical aptitude is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:
  • The role requires the ability to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift as needed.
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying weights ranging from 10 to 50 pounds.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance is expected.
