Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telemonitor Technician to join our team at SSM Health. As a Telemonitor Technician, you will be responsible for performing set up of cardiac telemetry, monitoring patients on telemetry, and evaluating cardiac rhythms. You will also be responsible for creating and typing over read reports, processing and maintaining patient and departmental records, and performing ECGs as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs telemetry monitoring and evaluates cardiac rhythms
  • Creates and types over read reports
  • Processes and maintains patient and departmental records
  • Performs ECGs as needed
  • Provides back-up coverage for ECG Department and Holter Department
Requirements
  • High School or equivalent
  • 0-6 months training/experience in arrhythmia monitoring or equivalent Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
Working Conditions

May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases. Subject to electrical and radiant energy hazards. Handles emergency or crisis situations. Occasionally subjected to irregular hours.

Physical Requirements

Occasional prolonged standing/walking. Occasionally lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients. Lifts supplies/equipment. Requires manual dexterity and mobility. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, pulling 100+ pounds.
