Position Overview:

As a Housekeeper, your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness in residents' living spaces and communal areas in accordance with a structured timetable and established protocols. You will also handle all laundry operations within our commercial laundry facilities.

Qualifications for Housekeeping:

A high school diploma and/or one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or a comparable combination of education and experience. Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred. A positive attitude and the ability to enjoy your work while delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities for Housekeeping:

Perform cleaning tasks in all designated areas following departmental standards and procedures. Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in assigned locations as directed, adhering to established protocols and proper cleaning techniques. Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions effectively. Capable of interacting tactfully with colleagues, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public. Follow written and verbal instructions regarding the preparation of cleaning solutions and disinfectants. Communicate information regarding a resident's condition as necessary. Utilize supplies efficiently and report any needs for replenishment to the supervisor. Operate various cleaning equipment including buffers, extraction machines, vacuums, and commercial laundry machinery. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Lead.

General Working Conditions:

This role requires prolonged periods of standing. The employee must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. Effective communication with others is essential, as well as the ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. Occasionally, reaching with hands and arms is necessary. The position involves reviewing detailed documents and reading from computer screens. The employee may need to lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds. The work environment necessitates appropriate interactions with others, and the noise level is moderate. Some travel to different locations may be required.
