About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Professional to join our team as a Seasonal Business Tax Expert. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Complex Business Tax Returns: Prepare and file tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax laws.
  • Provide Tax Advice and Guidance: Offer expert advice and guidance to customers on tax-related matters, including tax calculations, filing tax extensions, and product/software inquiries.
  • Utilize Technology and Resources: Leverage government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate and timely solutions to customers.
  • Document Customer Interactions: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including tax advice and tax return preparation.
  • Meet Key Performance Metrics: Work towards meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals, ensuring high-quality customer interactions and experiences.
Requirements
  • Strong Business Tax Preparation Experience: 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season.
  • Active Unrestricted Credential: Must possess an active unrestricted credential, such as EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
  • Minimum of 2 Seasons of Personal Tax Preparation Experience: Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting.
  • Bookkeeping Experience: Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with technology, including computer operations and software, and a working knowledge of Circular 230.
