Key Responsibilities- Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and pursue new commercial business opportunities.
- Sales and Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospects, identifying and structuring large, complex loan and deposit opportunities that optimize credit quality and profitability.
- Portfolio Management: Collaborate with a team of Credit Analysts and Commercial Banking Assistants to manage a portfolio of commercial loans and deposits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and risk management policies.
- Market Analysis and Research: Conduct thorough market analysis and research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the commercial banking market.
- Communication and Presentation: Develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals to clients and prospects, articulating the value proposition of Seacoast Bank's commercial banking services.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management policies, including AML/BSA, audit procedures, dual control, security, Business Continuity, and all other regulated banking requirements.
- Education: 4-year college degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related major, or 6 years of comparable experience.
- Experience: 10+ years of proven success in commercial banking, with a demonstrated record of relationship building with business, civic, and governmental organizations.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze markets, identify prospects, develop, and execute consultative, value-added sales techniques and strategies.
- Personal Qualities: Flexibility, adaptability, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
