Nursing Assistant II Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant II to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Nursing Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support, including data entry and quality assurance audits.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation.
  • Measure and record vital signs, and patient height and weight.
  • Perform various clinical tasks, including specimen collection, skin preps/scrubs, catheter care, and IV fluid assembly and monitoring.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Listed as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • One (1) year of clerical or customer service experience and six (6) months of related nursing assistant experience.
