ProMedica is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant/MA to join our team. As a Medical Assistant/MA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care services under supervision, demonstrating ProMedica's values to the patient.
- Work closely with the provider and leadership to continually improve the patient experience through daily patient care, clerical support, and ongoing projects.
- Prepare patients for visits by taking vital signs, documenting and ordering entry within the EPIC system, arranging and coordinating support and ancillary services for patient care.
- Perform specific specialized tests, such as pulmonary function tests and phlebotomy procedures, as needed.
- Support a variety of clerical office functions, including calls, documentation, scanning, and other tasks as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Able to promote a strong commitment towards achieving outstanding internal and external customer satisfaction and superior patient experience.
- Able to work independently, prioritize, problem solve, and work cooperatively with faculty and staff.
- Completion of a recognized MA program at an accredited college or university.
- 1+ years of experience in direct patient care preferred.
- Applicable medical certification preferred (MA, EMT, STNA, etc.).
